Wie bereits im September auf Reddit angekündigt (Wir berichteten), hat Lockheed Martin heute Prepar3D v4.1 veröffentlicht. Das Update ist für alle Besitzer von Prepar3D v4 kostenfrei, die neue Version steht auf der Download-Seite im Prepar3D-Shop zum Herunterladen bereit. Zu den wichtigsten Neuerungen zählen Verbesserungen im Bereich Virtual Reality (VR), die Unterstützung von 4K-Texturen im virtuellen Cockpit sowie Regeneffekte auf den Cockpitscheiben der Standard-Luftfahrzeuge. Deshalb sollte nicht nur wie gewohnt der Client, sondern auch der Content aktualisiert werden. Das Changelog von Prepar3D v4.1 im Originalwortlaut haben wir im vollen Artikel eingebunden.

GENERAL PLATFORM UPDATES

New Features

  • Virtual Reality (VR) is now available in any view and has its own dedicated menu
  • Added interactive mouse pointer in VR
  • Added support for 4k Virtual Cockpit (VC) textures
  • Custom icons can be placed and rendered in the world. Their location can also be viewed in the 2D map.
  • Health points for the ownship are now displayed in InfoGen text
  • Added “HideMouseLookCrosshair” config option to disable the cross icon when using mouse look

  1. Auf der Homepage von LM steht aber, dass nur wenige Änderungen im Content enthalten sind. Deshalb empfiehlt LM nur den Client zu erneuern. Was stimmt denn nun?

  2. Stimmt, hast Recht. Nutzer von Chaseplane sollten vorher chaseplane updaten. Bei mir hat nach p3d update (mit client und content) beim Start von p3d versucht chaseplane update zu downloaden. Der chaseplane downloader kam aber bei laufendem Sim nicht in die Hufe, erst ohne laufenden Sim gelang das sofort. Der Regeneffekt ist wirklich sehenswert.
